It was the way you looked at me that one final time as if to say "this is the last time I will ask" and so I picked you up from somewhere within my hate drowned soul and laid you with your lovely lines onto white sheets with airbrused soft blue and tried so hard to make you beautiful meaningful. tried to bend you to my will before you took my hand to say "feel it. Don't force it" and you changed before my eyes creating yourself for me. and I wrote you with all the will to finally move past the stain of hate. Finally letting the real words back in reclaiming poetry. "I want to heal, I want to feel, like I'm close to something real" |
