![]() Last week I traveled, to a place I had never been before, It was evening, the sun was setting, when I arrived, I took a stroll, down to the beach, looking at shells, Pieces and fragments, of unwanted things, the ocean spit up, These pieces were once, a part of living things, now dead, broken, Washed up on a sandy shore, someones treasures to find, taking them home for a souvenier. The sand was soft, so I stopped and sat, for a moment or two, collecting my thoughts, looking how vast, how huge the ocean was, Then to my right, stood three birds, all in a row, A small one, medium one, and a large one, Silently, I watched them, they stood still, in formation, The wind blowing, through their feathers, not even batting an eye, I pondered this act, they stood, as if waitng, waiting for something, No matter how hot, how windy, or how tired, They stood, remaining strong, together, Like a mother, with her two children, Perhaps they were waiting, for something, Something that would never come, or maybe it would? They were patient, strong, remaining, standing, enduring. There was a lesson, being taught to me, by watching these birds, Life and nature has many, different lessons to teach, all of us, If we just take a moment or two to sit and listen, to what they are saying.
