Every thought predetermined Every action recognized Every reaction accounted for Every feeling already known We keep repeating the pattern Of our predecessors Renaming it our own We shift out of consciousness And the truth is known By our neighbours From years and eras ago This is a pointless waste Of air and space If I cant offer anything new Theses words have been constructed Just as I have now Millions of years ago In another’s mind Or maybe even mine An analytical issue Takes the freedom out of thought There’s nowhere I can go That has never been seen There’s no way I can feel That hasn’t been documented Kinda takes the fun outta it, don’t it? |

Found this quite a deep, witty and insightful piece. Bit suprised no one else has commented on it, but the message is very clear. Repetitions and cycles, the same now as ever before although we pretend we invent things anew. A good poem well done! |
