Stubborn Old Gal

Although my life, has crumbled
Yet another time
I have refrained from telling you
Just what's on my mind

I hold it all deep inside me
Beating myself to death
It seems it doesn't matter
That, I try to do my best

Life it seems has a way of
Throwing those awful curves
Once again those feelings
So unwanted, start to stir

Maybe I am a real fool for
Never giving in to defeat
Sometimes it seems so clear
That I really am beat

Still, being that stubborn
Old gal I appear to be
I just can't seem to let myself
Give in to such defeat

I struggle as hard as I can
To bring myself back up
To where I can make myself
Get back up out of this rut

With no one here to talk to
It isn't always easy
Still, I do the best that I can
To get back on my feet

I think we've all been where you are at some time or other. It takes me a long time to get "back on my feet" so carry on being stubborn and you'll get there quickly. A slice of everybody's life here.

Nice writing...sounds like one of those times when you have to go on, just because you have to...Mind you I didn't say because you want to, or because you're pleased with whats coming your way, I said you have to go on because sometimes its like that...James

Sue, your strength, courage, faith, endurance ~ and yes, your stubborness ~ have bode you well thus far! You are a survivor!

I pray that the road you have been traveling, will get easier! You deserve a break!
