.

The setting sun
Has left a deep red streak
In the western sky

It is the passing day
Felt profoundly
Knowing it will never
Be seen again

It is love
And the courage
To look back
And see with the heart’s
Inner eye

The deep red
Of her long wool coat

Brushing the autumn leaves
As she walked by your side

excellent 'write!'

I am especially fond of:

"it is love
And the courage
To look back
And see with the heart’s
Inner eye

The deep red
Of her long wool coat

Brushing the autumn leaves
As she walked by your side"

Significant applause!!

Very descriptive and nostalgic John, I like it.

I enjoyed the image of her long red coat brushing the leaves.
