Inspires by a post by Earth Angel and of course my wife Joan to whom the poetry refers! . You You're the madness of my sanity the chaos of my calm. The one who wakes me from my trance protecting me from harm. You're the reason for my living the one who makes my home. The loving whisper in my ear when bonded by a phone. You're the mother of my children the passion of my lust. The spirit in my living and the founder of my trust. You're the one who calms the weather when I'm riding through a storm. You're the one who's love soaks through me and ensures my heart is warm. No you are not just my mistress or not simply just my wife. You're my reason for existence and the purpose of my life. Ivor G Davies The moment created this second, is a moment that's going to last. It lives the full spectrum of time, the future, the present and past. |

My wives have all been lucky To meet a man like me Free from inhibition A key to set them free I’m not a man of many needs A simple life is fine Err that’s what you aspire to To be a wife of mine I give my full attention My time I gladly share Marriage is a two way street For those who really care It takes a bit of practice Quite often it’s a balance That’s the fun of living Rising to the challenge Eric Lance Davies |

Sorry for the belated reply, but thank you all for commenting on this. Occasionally I will promote my 'response' to another poet and I am always gratefull to the original poet for inspiring my work this way. This is one of the reasons I so much enjoy responses to my own work in rhyme as I feel it promotes our now 'old fashioned' art of rhyming!!! Thanks again.... Ivor |
