You've believed your secrets kept not knowing that those closest betrayed you to me Now I know what resides in your dark Now you have loosed your demons on me Half a life wasted fighting off your past while you wrapped it around me like a slow, soul-eating cancer Now I'm feeling as if I'm in borrowed skin leaving me ugly, stiff lacerated to bone Now you turn away a sneer on your face to tell me that I am not good enough even to wear your disease when once you thought I was the cure Now I am sick of your sickness Just leave me Leave me Leave Now ~ Caroline ~ 2008 |
