let me tell you a bed time story one that can take you so far back into your childhood that you can smell the perspiration that ran down your back that cold afternoon in march when you just knew what was about to happen let me tell you a bedtime story one in which you'll feel her dispirited eyes look into you as if you were an ocean but dear oh dear with that oil spill she won't see far will she you're asleep but i know you hope not let me tell you a story a bedtime story about the loss of innocence and then you'll feel more grown up i always knew you were a big girl |
