      Winter Mere (II)

Morning’s empty twilight
fills with a fine rose dawn,
as my shadow flows out
with the cold sunrise,
(mid lingering puffs of mist)
across this perfect mirror,
to touch a tiny abandoned
boat…lost as I…
to the relentless track
   of years.

Very nice.  Talking about winter mere, do they still collect ice off the lake at Eagles Mere to keep things cool during the summer.  Probably not.
