The moon amidst the astral sky,
Like a pearl immersed in darkened tides,
Stranded in a lonesome cycle,
Where only the light within resides.

The brightest fire in the night,
A beacon to the divine gates,
Burns to guide us safely home,
Through doubt, grief, or cynic spate.

An omnipresent, blessed jewel
Ineffable beauty's silent vigil,
The night so dark and sorrowful,
Now softly glows- placid and still.

Against the darkened twilight sky,
The moon; like heaven within our reach,
Fills our pining hearts with joy,
As our entreated eyes do so beseech.

This lonely beacon stolidly burns,
Through the thick darkness is delves,
Though solitary, it bestows the gift,
Of light so we may find ourselves.
