You, my ocean

*

Many rivers
reflecting different skies
flow into you, my ocean.
With arms wide open
you welcome and celebrate
the manifold gifts
as they nurture you
and provide for
levitation.

Skillfully you blend
their individual colors
into kaleidoscopic
day-light and
nocturnal patterns,
offering your vastness
to the touch of the sun,
to the embrace of the moon,
to the kiss of Universe,
in harmonious tides
and bewitching grace.

Your godlike eyes
mirror transcendent skies
where our ethereal selves
sometimes ascend
to perform the lovers’ dance,
in perfect consciousness
of being part of the Whole.

When quiet ripples expand
over your sated waters
remember our shared breath
in the life changing moment
when you inhaled my soul.

Margherita,

The ocean is always a secret part of human memory.

I like this a "whole" lot.

Margherita...The ocean is a vast mixture of gentleness, anger, love and tranquility and you have described it perfectly in this poem. Enjoyed very much...Paul

Stunning poem, Margherita, and yes, I too love this -

"remember our shared breath
in the life changing moment
when you inhaled my soul."

I'm sort of stuck now for something more to say but I think you know that I know these words extend beyond the ocean and into the realms of what so few are privileged to experience.  Oh, but then again I'm probably just imagining it.

I too love this.    It brings forth thoughts of...   "One moon...cast its reflection upon many waters"    and... for those who seek "attainment"..."Oh, perhaps one day the wave will "become" the ocean...if only...oh if only...It can "become".... wetter"
and...   "Drink a drop of the ocean...You have tasted the entire ocean"   and on and on and on...
But then...perhaps I think too much
or...perhaps I just think that I think too much
But ....What is..."too much"?
::smiles::    (((lacking)))    (((excess)))
fun thoughts     matchbox   tiddly-wink  blah  blah  yadda  yadda blah  etcetera
regardless....   was enjoyed   (((enjoyed)))

mirror transcendent skies

to perform the lovers’ dance,
i like these.
lines as bright as a smile of a girl flashing under a spring sun. where you live the sky must be bright to add a fine laquer on your soul.

dear poddarku, thank you!
Where I live, where I dwell, when I am fully aware, the light can be blinding, even behind closed eyes. The nearer to God consciousness we approach, the brighter the Light. A pity that we tend to forget and let the shadows expand again and again.

love,
Margherita

Your ocean covers much of the earth's surface.

And so little of it has been explored and
is understood.  Such a mystery, huh?

Well done!!

Oh, my God-ness! Margherita, your poetry continues to astound me! Words fail me when it comes to being able to adequately express my appreciation of your talent and the beauty of your divine soul.

"When quiet ripples expand
over your sated waters
remember our shared breath
in the life changing moment
when you inhaled my soul."

~ beyond beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!
