sometimes you wear the prim shirt
and your eyes are fragile
something about what a lady does
when her woman is resting

you frown at my rattle noises
and the words I write on your window
or that I might wrinkle your habit
or tarnish your halo

but then it seems she wakes again
and sends the lady to her room
and says it is ok to feel urges
and wear just love water music

she opens the blinds and doorways
and asks me to leave my shoes outside
along with my wristwatch
and any other appointments

that would make me a gentleman

Another incredible work from you, dear D. Only a true gentleman and psychologist knows women so well and that's exactly what induces them to give passion a chance and to open the blinds and doorways.

This one, my friend, struck a chord in me.  It's like Ida's poem about having two pieces .. faces .. parts of us .. I am paraphrasing.  I think that the Lady and Woman are very close to each other .. and that Lady's eyes are dancing when she appears all prim.

I love this, D.
