. With what Idiot arrogance She lies there Naked on the bed As if the world Had never known Lips and hips Other things before She was born Soon she’ll go As usual With again no key To any other door Except her own It’s September for her In this capital by the sea The air already Has begun to chill Yet it’s amusing to see How with such Languorous stupidity She actually thinks She’s winning . |

Huan Yi, The poem is okay. However, Catherine The Great was one of the best, and wisest rulers Russia ever had. Why do you think they called her "The Great"? She went from the bottom to the top. She was tough as nails. Bobby [This message has been edited by Bobby Jordan (01-18-2008 01:23 PM).] |

I like the anger and contempt in this one. It's done well. Nan (Pilgrim variety) |

Absolutely agree with Bobby. Sometimes you know, one is simply not allowed to be angry. esp when Sun is there and BLUE sky is warmly staring at you. Tomtoo |

I always liked her. She had grit. I like your poem also. |

. I'm glad I didn't use Mary; apparently everyone then would think the character was addressing the mother of Christ . . . . |
