As we look to the future thinking about our past living in the moment we accept passion and joy as our fingers wrap around what's coming next. In a pool of deep water our dreams breathe around bubbles kissing the air in front of us wanting to be remembered but are just forgotten memories. Walking through the world watching it all go by in black and white listening to the sound of the wind whispering my name. I have come to realize that nothing is what it seems holding a butterfly in my hands smiling as it tingles on my skin wondering if our life is just a shattered reality. Benjamin Prins 2008 |

I got really depressed reading the last stanza, that alone made me feel the poem. it kind of crept up on me like a ninja and stabbed my heart into a thousand pieces. Good write, it tore me to shreds. |

Maybe we simply pass through this life and are offered an opportunity to see the beauty that is offered us -- or to walk with blinders on and only see our internal dissatisfaction. You got me thinking here. Welcome to PiP. Alison |

"I have come to realize that nothing is what it seems" And I think a most worthwhile realization to come to and one that is the first step on the ladder to ... enlightenment (if there such a thing be). You do make the reader think and that's a good thing. |
