succinct and powerfully real, emotive 'write!'

in the last analysis...ultimately, we have only ourselves.  
I believe that (unfortunately) the "Runaway American Dream"
in particular has become the loneliest (and most self-referential)
society anywhere...

as Mr. "Goldenrose" put it:

"Darkness hides tears
of an echoing abandoned soul,
adrift in the cosmos."

sometimes the lighthouse is too far gone to even try to replace the beacons

that's usually when an inner light comes shining through
