Time wanders...crossing bosomy wind swirled dunes as starlit skies hum a lullaby to a pale yawning moon...while wisps of bristling lions, howling owls and Santa’s pale and swollen cheeks whisk away a snowfall from a stalwart mountain’s jagged peak. Winter...stoic in the fade of Fall to a morn of fresh powder as the distant howl of a snarling wolf walks softly upon layers of frosted feet....blindly awaiting the trample of a Hare’s life....as a last breath lingers on a blooded lip...as time wanders on.... |

Dear Barry, there is such melancholy in your poem, it grips me. Time wanders through the cycle of life and suddenly we realize how ephemeral everything is. Sad, but beautiful. Love and may the New Year bless you abundantly. Margherita |

I have no criticism for this poem, dear poet, over its content; I would realign some lines, but that is just me. But in doing so, it would not be a Magnus-ificent poem...and I do believe I've coined a new word. So goes 2008...on to the new! |
