Counting My Blessings

Were I to count my many blessings
I would need to begin with you
For I have been very blessed
With your love so true
Of all that came before
Of all that is to follow
It simply would mean nothing
Without you in my tomorrow
Love is the tie that binds us
To one another in this life
It is the anchor to which we cling
When we are sometimes given strife
It is the flow of gentle thoughts
Between the all that we hold dear
It is the whispered song of love
That we all need to hear
In remind of this year-in-passing
I need to let you know
That I love you with all my heart
And that is truly so~

I really do love your writing, I have lost my father and oldest nephew in the past year and uplifting poems are soothing- count my blessing- look at what I have while I can
