Little Miss Muffet
Sat on a tuffet
Eating her low fat yogurt
She's got to keep her girlish
figure you know
Along came a man
And dang
was he fine
She wanted to play aloof
and have him chase
after her this time
He's asked for her digits
She played it cool
He called her two days later
Because that's how Men roll
She laughed
and Flirted
Being the good girl she is
She hid
her insecurities
she really wasn't ready to go on a date
so she got scared
and got all up in her head
thinking she'd screw it up
and scare him away
she came up with excuses
and ran off with the spider instead
Well Little Miss Muffet
made a mistake
she moved in with the spider
She left her tuffet
thinking she was in love
He broke up with her
and sent her packing
Little Miss Muffet
back on her tuffet
drowning her sorrows
in cookie dough
who cares about your figure
when you get dumped
She regretted not giving
that Fine man a chance
She extended the olive branch
after dropping off the face of the earth
But she won't tell him
she was interested in the first place
Little Miss Muffet
doesn't do the rebound thing
nor does she do the chasing
if he's interested
he's gonna have to
invite her over for some pizza
and throw in a 6 pack
and give her the remote....

If at first you don't succeed destroy all the evidence that you tried.

A fun write, dear Kristen, enjoyed this.
When we think too much what he might think we get things easily messed up, that's true.
Neither chasing nor hiding, just being ourselves and ... not having too great expectations...ever.
