Dreamscapes and Winter Visions

High piled snow fills this pallet of thought
A canvas of white drawn where visions are wrought
In the snow laden branches, bowed so low with their load
Hiding delicate morsels within winter’s abode
Pounding peds of a good dog shake the air with delight
Such finesse in each foot print sunk in powdery white
Bump and tackle of branches, keeping secrets shy lean
Such carefree inquisition in the underbrush preen
Joined in happy reunion cunning blue jay cries out
Underscoring to covet elderberries cheeked stout
Chicadee landing softly, chip and chirp serenade
To his fellow fledged tenor, eating up red displayed
Sprung the spruce, green and supple, lifting upright it’s arms
Leaving fragrance redeeming evergreen by all charms
Labradore in red collar, tossing head, nose and tail
The completeness of pictures ever etched in time’s trail

beautiful images...

I am waiting for snow...it changes everything around here, people come out to walk in it and chat and slow their busy lives.

A delight to read, dear TD.

Simply wonderful scenery!
