I stood waiting at the jewelry counter I should have known better than to wait till the last minute to do my Christmas Shopping Of all Days To be out I was in line on Christmas Eve Every one seemed in a hurry I was growing impatient Tired of waiting The lady in front of me spoke something that never even crossed my mind I was too caught up standing in line "This is God's way of slowing us down" How True that is! It's like a switch was flipped and I grew calm Relaxed My eyes wondered admiring the diamonds and earrings Day dreaming My eyes lingered Another sign in front of me A necklace with the phrase "Live Laugh Love" Another thing I never fully applied We get too caught up in our lives to even begin to realize that we need to Live we need to slow down and Laugh and most important Love as God Loves us In weakness we find strength in the hustle and bustle we become lost to the reason and the meaning of Christmas and to the meaning of Life If at first you don't succeed destroy all the evidence that you tried. |

Ceinwyn I love when people put their thoughts into poetry. You did this so well - and I thank you for sharing this moment with us. Sometimes when I am stuck in traffic or something, I just breath deeply, realize I can do nothing about it, and reflect on some of the good things in my life.
