.

Red and gold
Blue to green
And all the colors
In between
Beneath a winter
Starry sky

Even the moon
That old man
Who has seen so much
Seems however faintly
To have a smile

Snow lies white
On silent fields
Deer move as shadows
Among the trees

By the window
A single candle burns
Ever faithful
To the dream

Ohhh John, this is such a lovely and serene peace you write, and quite honestly, my favorite of yours so far.  Excellent work here.  Happy holidays to you, sir.

... "ever faithful to the dream" ...
tiptoeing out of this magical scenery with a feeling of beauty and harmony.

Very good!

a very fine 'write'...
[as I have come to expect from this author!]

I am particularly fond of the ending:

"Snow lies white
On silent fields
Deer move as shadows
Among the trees

By the window
A single candle burns
Ever faithful
To the dream"

serious and sustained applause!!

Listened the available seconds of  Katerine Collaudemus on Amazon, I allowed myself to have different feelings based on my experience. It was the feeling that I was in the pine forest and everything was dark and only when you look -up, there was the light. Then I was 11 yrs. A pure young soul wanted to connect to the higher beings. Now, I am back to earth and knowing that He is there so I am more intending to connect the souls around me.  Believe me, I could hardly make meditations to this music. too surreal. well, it meant to be surreal.

Beautiful poem and the end

"By the window
A single candle burns
Ever faithful
To the dream"

is the soul of the music. and of your poem too.

again, beautiful poem.
have a wonderful day, dear John.
