our distance has grown closer together
since I put the black stone back
and let the water cover it again

like it was someone else's heart
that needed it's own mountain
just to be a free winged bird

and my hands still feel the cool
of how smooth it should have been
even without the wet places

just the touching side knowledge
of our reading between the lines
letting our skins play with skins

while our thoughts were never elsewhere

Thank you, D...for the memories and thoughts between the lines~~

You are definitely warmth on a very cold morning ( my gas furnace must have shut down when we lost electricity on Sunday night and I didn't notice until too late to relight the pilot until this morning...
not an easy task to do when the system is from the 40's...and I am not   almost

This is so tenderly soft, what a delight to read.  Thanks for the beauty on this cold morning.

I think D is the one whispering between the lines...so that when we read, we can feel him there.... I certainly do....

I don't think you expect your readers to cry ... but here is one that is moved to tears ... (don't worry, it must be the "mountain" associated with the "free winged bird" that hit my homesick heart!).

So beautiful!

Love,
Margherita
