at the edge of your love words
there were wrinkles hidden
like smile sided memories
waiting to be played again

you left winter in the boxes
outside your sweet dream windows
for the summer fairy's stealing
and occasional replacement maybe

with something for your core
to make the volcanoes happen
before I could know your mountains
against some morning's horizon

your fingers were ice on my eyes
