Goodbye? If stanzas could bleed like the morning sun through white blinds Perhaps light could be shed and awake the hope that was forsaken Its not the same without her, sitting here alone is ill-fated I want to forget her but keep the good memories, she's mistaken If the syllables could speak in harmony this poem would have wings It’s hard to pull myself to say, you’re my most beautiful error Appreciate what you have because it is better than having nothing I’m a well off poor man looking for closure only finding terror If words could paint all these walls would be deemed masterpieces I dust off my cold hands as the ink of my heart start to dry Regrets are empty emotions so I will still confusingly thank you Just as a hallmark card is modest read carefully this word; goodbye |
