Believe Not a Word of This

Not much to do on
this Saturday night
as I close the door
and turn off the lights.
No one calls me anymore
ever since my honey
walked out the door.
Some say that you can
love someone too much.
I didn't use to believe
that could be true,
but perhaps now I do.
Where is the woman
that used to be
so sweet to me?
I hope and pray
that she'll have the
heart to come back to me.
Just as I'm falling asleep
a familar noise awakens me,
the tender sound of her key.
