I am sorry for the nights full of screaming
Done deals pulled from my head
Dragged down in asunder
Skies of thunder

If only I could find the fear binding
Tearing out my insanity
Hello baby, I’m not ready
For the task given to stay alive

Somewhere inside
I hear the dead pleading
For one more chance

Swallow your pride
I’m the one needing
A loving glance

Are you unaware I’m crying
Trying to stay afloat
I want to see how far my blood goes
Does anyone truly know

The ache hides from my eyes
Too shy to appear outside
I wish I could switch places
A different face

Maybe I’m tired
Maybe I’m not thinking
Maybe I’m in dire
Need of help from sinking

Maybe I’m dead
Maybe I’m not here anymore
Maybe I’m gone
Locked behind closed doors

I have spent time trapped behind those closed doors.  I am deeply sorry for anyone else who finds themselves there.  Even when you don't believe that things could ever change, it is true.  Even when you cannot see any light, it is there.  Thank you for sharing such depths.
