The Battle

Toward the castle gate the Knight of this story rode
The future of his actions can ever be foretold
His shiny armour was blackened from the ash in the air
As the dark army mounts in front of him but he does not care

As the dark scowling evil creatures gather in front of him
The white army of god gather behind him
Ready to fight in the name of god however grim the outlook
The story of this battle will be written in books

As the armies massed on the battlefield and draw their lines
And formed their ranks and they started to pray at the same time
There was confusion on the field as both sides were praying to their god
And the adrenalin kicked in the veins begin to throb

As the generals rile up the troops on both sides
They both shout god is with us and to heaven we hope he guides
Both sides charge with the feet and hands
Scrambling towards each other fiends verses man

The snorting and snarling of the beasts of the dark
And the battle cry of white army and as the first volley of arrows hit the mark
As the arrows pierce the fiends that approach they fall to the ground
While their generals sit and watch on a faraway mound

When they meet in the middle with a tremendous clash
Where they met their shields and bodies did smash
As man cut breast and beast cut man as they battled for their ways or lives
And some of them battled for the children and wive’s

As the swords are thrust with precision and deadly strength
Some of them had swords and some of them had spears of some length
As chargers stormed through their lines
As their bodies crush they let out their cries

With mangled shields swords and armour on the ground
Howling cries can be heard all around
When they realize the losses at hand
They fall back and regroup they do not disband

Although good is losing they will always fight on
They will fight and die till the battle is one
As the regroup and the trumpets do sound
And as all of their feet strike the ground

The fear is struck right into their hearts
The morale of the creatures is ripping apart
As the good march forward evil steps back
As always the good white will defeat the bad black

As good has made them move back to their keep
And struck their evil back into the deep
The darkness and evil will not come back ever again
As long as the good keep evil restrained
