             Gracious Anointing

Is this life?
Sitting and waiting for what
seems to be a never-ending search for you.
I’ve fallen far from grace and nobody knows,
nobody can see past my lies and I don’t know how to stop.
Someone please save me.
Nobody has taken the time to listen.
“Your such an amazing person” they say as the go off with someone else.
Amazing’s not what it used to be.
I’ve tried opening up but no one talks,
and they say that I’m the quite one.
I’m lost in the middle of my own concoction of self reliance.
Inside my mind I see you,
my mind has turned against me
showing me what could be
but then I awaken and see what is.
Is this life or is this existence.
Gracious anointing save me.

Welcome to Pip!

Your "Gracious Anointing" is an outcry of your soul and as such you have done well to write it. Life is what you make of it ...
Every morning brings new possibilities ... you can sit and wait, or you can take action to reach your goals. Don't let depend your happiness on a single presence in your life. Learn to love yourself, for you are loved and unique.
Your words have touched me and that's why I took the freedom to reply in this way.

Love,
Margherita

Having been in a similar situation at one time in my life, I understand the loneliness, the frustration, the sadness, and despair. I got so tired of waiting and longing, that I decided to become pro-active ~ be the captain of my own ship and take hold of the helm. A rudderless ship just drifting on the seas of life, was getting me nowhere fast! Before I took charge of my life, I was always waiting for the proverbial axe to fall. I gave my personal power away and others who then used it against me and to my own disadvantage.

I also came to realize that if the object of our affection does not reciprocate that love, then it is not meant to be. I truly believe that if things become extremely difficult for us, then we are barking up the wrong tree ~ so to speak. Life is to flow more easily than we allow it to. We tend to buck the tides and fight our way along. Once I learned to surrender to a Higher Power, joy returned to my life and I knew that "All would be well!" ~ and in Divine time.

Please excuse my lengthy reply, but your poem     stirred up many personal thoughts and feelings.

Be well! Be happy!

Love & Light,
EA
