"the debates" what we’re applauding isn’t the issues. what we’re applauding is the delivery. what we’re applauding is the way it makes us feel. what we’re applauding is the choice of words, the confident enunciation, and, of course, the ties. who knew that presidential candidates could be so literary? each and every one of the reminds me of a brand new book of poems, themed on social injustice, written by an M.A. who plays football in his mansion, revved with caviar, making love to white, white starlets. |

it's all grandeur...a smoke screen. instead of ties, I'd like to see their tattoos |

and if we are not applauding? you know I really don't. I am so desensitized that getting an eyeroll out of me is an accomplishment. Nicely written. "too bad ignorance isn't painful" |

Its up to us to sort through the lies and determine the truth which sometimes seems to be lacking...James |

I have often thought of political debates as a bit of a popularity contest ~ "Pick me! Pick me!" lol It is important for voters to look past the "delivery" and concentrate on the meat and potatoes of what the "contestants" stand for! Enjoyed your thoughts on this! Linda |

::smiles:: I like this. Well done! There is much that I do not understand. There may be different names on various campaign signs and bumper stickers...but I tend to see the same thing. To me... They all say "Govern me" "Govern me" ::shrugs:: regardless... Well Done !!! |
