Two, Us One spontaneous moment In a repertoire of romantic score Indigenous to the fertile landscapes Where there resides each at the deepest core Only God directs my footsteps more And smiles on my hands within your hands My ear against your heart Listening and coaxing up and down the scale Playing keys in fingertips that breath responds Sipping on the scent of gentle, fragrant sail Oh, to call your name into the dawn so pale And glisten in your nectar warm Pulling muscle to the earth Standing fast and shuddering with spirit strong Stating fact, in front of memory so kind Lifting up, embracing hard in feathered song Sure of where we both belong Two, us; blessed in compliment Harmony upon descent To us, the toast of time that does cement A knowing, ever growing Ebb and flowing Two, Us Copyright Kkh 11/27/07 |
