Alone in this
unseen misery.
Humanity is blinded
by a need not to know,
recognize
acknowledge
a breakdown of humility,
sensitivity,
selflessness.

What more can be asked?

Squeezed, wringed beyond moisture,
flaking from the dehydration
of sucked dry.

Cracking with every movement,
eventually falling apart.

Will you lovingly reattach?
Only the parts you love best?

Leaving tiny fractures
complaining all the while.
Those things aren’t what they used to be,
taking no responsibility.

You are the travesty.

I liked it. There are some cool descriptions in it, and the whole poem has a certian feeling over it. i especially like the line:
"Will you lovingly reattach?
Only the parts you love best?"

What can I say?

I don't know if you feel the difference, but I can. Your poetry is more intimate, more fearless--more SUSAN.

I don't know what you did--but I do wonder if you feel the difference...

I'm so happy lovie. You are writing Susan beautifully.

Truly, thank you all...it means a lot to get feedback..

and Karen?  I saved the list.. yes, even I need the positive re-enforcement and I love you so much for giving it.

Enlightenment comes with age.  I didn't realize that until recently.  Not just knowledge, but real, "OMG" enlightenment. Human behavior never ceases to amaze me.
