Admiration of Beauty The big Artist in the sky Flicks His autumn brush From quiet country meadows And across rustling city tree lines Before rinsing the golden-orange bristles Into cool lakes and frothing rivers Painting rocks that lace their bottoms To reflect upon faint stars that gaze this season Of angels dressed as children Harvesting for a celebration Under the sun’s equinox Steadily becoming motionless With a gentle kiss of beauty and love And a humbly blown wind from Heaven to earth Marcel |
