If the door does close before you And bad things come your way If warm winds turn to very cold Your friends will always stay They’ll give a hand of guidance Though they may not be wise They’ll try to find your answers And wipe away your cries They’ll take your hand, they'll help you They’ll show you way to go They’ll pry the door wide open friend To let your freedom flow And through the times of doubt and trust The knowing not of what to do They will be there to listen friend And take the time to be with you So if you wake to dread each day Remember friends do also doubt And face the day to once again Discover what life’s all about Friends are better gifts by far Than money that just buys a need Support is worth much more than fame Kindness spreads the friendship seed The world is filled with you’s and me’s The problems that are small in scale Friendship brings life’s special gift A gift that’s not for sale So if you have a friend or two Count yourself as very blessed For they'll be close, not far away For true friends never rest |
