Beyond This Winter Moment When only the cold light of a pallid dawn filters through languid smoke, lingering without intent on the barren, shivering hills, what hopes may be sown in a bleak Winter garden?... and in these dank, empty rooms… where the lamp flame is frozen, will the pen still run with the ink of life and death... to some import? Cast your fate as a net into starry skies, beyond the moment’s limitations… and seize all the wonder in this radiant Universe of endless flux, and infinitely evolving potentialities… (the vast-cosmic mere of 'Deep-Time' delights) where finest dreams may ride... on the crest of eternity! I could have quoted every line, however, these stood out the most for me. " Cast your fate as a net into starry skies, beyond the moment’s limitations… and seize all the wonder in this radiant Universe of endless flux, and infinitely evolving potentialities…" ~ Fantastic writing! ~ cosmic, expansive, spiritual, inspirational and very poetic!!! "Cast your fate as a net into starry skies, beyond the moment’s limitations…" Words to frame, and repeat daily...a mantra moment. |

I can't bear to see this leave the main page yet. It's lovely and haunting to re-read. |

I think this is one of your best, Bruce. It takes the chill off winter. I am going to save this one. Ida |

again a fine piece. Do I sense this one is different from your other ones? It has stronger emotion beyond your general environmental romanticism. You put questions in the middle of your poem. I am right. I flipped through your many poems and I hardly see any question marks except two or three political poems. Beautiful. enjoyed the read as always.
