Autumn Evening Rustic Red Burnish leaves align the lawn Intrepidly, as soft winds fawn Against the passing warbler call No, nothing more requires fall A steaming cup revives my eyes Allowed to focus each surprise The air turns hue of rustic red No, nothing more remains unsaid These hands at rest take in repose Each dampened breath to shadow blows As if by rite, the seasons praise No, nothing more left long to days ‘Neath blanket gray, the night will come Then taken stock all weight and sum A lingered look takes heart and soul No, nothing more requires fall Copyright Kkh 11/19/07 |

TD, there is something so special about your poetry. ~ Correction, there are MANY things that are special about your poetry! ~ and as you can see by the comments that your readers have written, I am not alone in that assumption! ![]() Another calming, gracious penning ~ and highly descriptive! very pretty. I love fall, it's my second favorite season (I'm always longing for spring though...especially when there's snow outside, like today). Warm feelings here to fight the cold weather. "Hey, it's me, I'm dynamite and I don't know why" -- Van Morrison, 'Sweet Thing' |
