November came reelin' on the heels of a wintry couplet chauvinist winds twisted brittle limbs breaking the tell of silence winter yowled a tell-tale sing snow well over the palings the valley was white and glowed in the night - but there was nought to be said over evening morning burst in tangled skein the face of winter teasing Speaking of ghosts, wouldn't you know here comes mine again... ~Rosemary J. Gwaltney~ [This message has been edited by lucky (11-18-2007 09:55 PM).] |

I love a great last line, and we all know that you need a good hook to open with too--but since you already know I'm whacked, I'm not afraid to say that you serve up GREAT poetry sandwiches. All the stuff inbetween is just as yummy! Back to the top you! ![]() |

Oh, how I love winter poems! They give me deliriums of delight! So as I come to the windows, the doors, peering at the sky for white clouds, and checking how cold it is, I can always depend on you to be beside me, waiting too! A very special companionship. I treasure every word of this poem, my dearest love. |

I enjoyed the word sounds of this poem. It's very pleasurable to read, and filled with imagery for the senses. |
