There Are Times |

There are times when a rose is simply all it is, a rose. When one plus eight is less that ten and a fire burns Brightly against the winter chill while a coyote lies in wait of a meal and a rabbit scurries as a terrified heart races wildly in a go for broke effort to win just one simple thing…life! There are times when still waters don’t always run Deep and a firefly sometimes fails to flash that Wandering sign, letting us know that summertime Has brought with it the magic of night’s mystery. And, if not for the ever pestering mosquito, the Air would lie still as a cricket’s chirp awakens A silver moon. And, though there are times, life shall grasp the Rose ever gently, allowing a single petal to Fall to earth before that which is ever precious Ceases to be…and bids a soft and tender “Adieu” |

"...in a go for broke effort..." how well you speak to the every day issues of lost time... oh, to be the rabbit, two steps ahead of the wolf. Because the bear is not far behind. But then you speak to the heart... tender that it is... and an adieu echoes forever... |

"There are times when a rose is simply all it is, a rose." ~ and that is good enough for me! As the saying goes, "A rose, is a rose, is a rose." Linda |

This ending line resonates through time itself. Lovely mood to this, even as it speaks that lingering imagery of the last breath of summer. |

I am learning this more and more, the things that just are at times, and there no guarantee that goodbye is not imminent. Hugs, Karen |

Dear Very Barry "And, if not for the ever pestering mosquito, the Air would lie still as a cricket’s chirp awakens A silver moon." Your expression captures a unique man's thoughts. |

So true, there are times we should just accept things as they are... no need to push the water.."late" |
