I'm so crashed, I've been left to smolder. My body resembles metal, Crumpled into a thick heap. I was just a harmless being. Until you crashed into me. Now my body shows thick pain. And thin patience. The lines on my face darken. And the breath in my lungs deepens. Yet my soul stays existing. Never to be changed. By what you can do, Or what you can say. Give up, you'll never break it. You can't hurt what you can't see. And I'm merely invisible. |

Oh, Preston, I do so hope that this is purely poetry and is not a reflection of your reality ~ or your perception of it. "You can't hurt what you can't see. And I'm merely invisible." ~ Your soul may not be visible to her, but it certainly is to me. ~ and when is not glowing at its full radiance, it still shines. Giving you a warm, comforting hug, EA |
