Baby, I plant the star for you It grows like birth in a womb, So much love in such a small spot It would seem there'd be too little room. Baby, I plant the star for you that groooows in the womb ~~~ ) [This message has been edited by miscellanea (11-14-2007 06:32 PM).] |

This one is a wacky one that has a little history. I don't think it is finished. If I wake up in the middle of the morning again, maybe we'll find out! Dreams are such a riot! After I first wrote it down and tried to analyze what it meant, I thought it might have been symbolic of The Sun planted in Mary. Then I thought back to yesterday's topics such as Oklahoma, the musical, creation vs. evolution, and reading a friend's romance novel that is in progress. These may have spun together in my head during the night creating it. The poem came to me in the form of music. When this happens, sometimes I can't figure out if the music is mine or has been published. Finally, it dawned on me, it was to the tune of "I'm Just a Girl Who Can't Say No" from the musical, Oklahoma! I was amused because the last thing I had read before going to bed was about the main character in my friend's book becoming pregnant! I guess the song fed into the plot fairly well!!! Finally, this is recorded and I can go back to bed!!!! misce' |

j.d., You are exactly right! I never can guess what will come out of my pen when these dream like things happen. Then, after they do, I wonder what I must have been thinking... The mind is a mystery, eh! I am glad to know that others here share this experience. I'm stretching it being here this early. I'll try to check out one of your posts as soon as I can. I'm eager to read one of yours. Thanks, misce' |

A fascinatingly spun dream which is rife with symbolism! When a dream moves us to write about it, then I believe there is an important message inherent in it. I have a very strong feeling, that the message to be learned from this one, will be a joyful one! Love & Sweet Dreams, Linda |

I loved this also. I found it kind of whimsical, but thought provoking too. I have gotten up in the middle of the night too - and sometimes I just wish I had. Thanks for starting my day with a smile. A |

Earth Angel, "'Rife' with symbolism," you say. I've never heard that word used before but I am very familiar with the name Roy Rife. It has very special meaning to me. Your response has already given me joy. I'll have to e-mail you and let you in on it! hugs, misce' [This message has been edited by miscellanea (11-14-2007 07:49 PM).] |

aziza, Yes, it does have a whimsical sound to it but I'm glad you dug deeper. It's so good to hear from you again! misce' [This message has been edited by miscellanea (11-14-2007 07:45 PM).] |

I can see the light of the sparkling star expand, as Love is infinite ... the seed may be small in the beginning to be cherished by a womb ... but then it grows in the womb of Universe ... expanding expanding love beautiful vision, dear Misc! Love and hugs. Margherita |

Margherita, Thank you for your thoughtful response. I wrote down the words exactly as they came in the song. I like your interpretation. hugs, misce' |
