Conductor of Need Lingering notes of music entice and stroke my body – as you conduct with artistic ease. There is only “I” in this composition you write. A masterpiece, you create, among the low notes, each measure coaxed with exquisite detail. My arms long to direct the melody, but you gently push them aside – playing me as your instrument. You lead the symphony. And I soar among chorale’s high soprano, Splintering as strains of vibrant music, reach higher and even higher, then shatter in dramatic crescendo, raining notes of ecstasy upon us. Alison |
