and now I wonder of the nightingale
that whispers her wings at dawn
there at some indigo momentum

as her eyes fold to smiles
are there tears when she heals
and then the whispering of her mouth

with lips as idols to the kiss gods
do they now speak praying chords
strummed from the heart of woman

would she notice my antics ploy
with blades and pins to prick my skin
writhing in my gravel pretensions

just to be cradled at her bosom's shadow
and soothed with fingertip solutions
would she nurse me with her laughter

or call me but her roguish quixote
