BANG!!!....oops... It’s amazing how far I’ve come and how slow I remain as I glimpse at the building’s glass door and attempt to walk through. I see the word, I know the word, but still it’s a fifty fifty chance I’ll mess it up. BANG!!!....oops… Twenty-five years on this planet and yet I cannot master the Push or Pull concept. I blame phonetics, alliteration, anything, but my defective brain. They should say Push or Tug, Push or Yank, that would help prevent confusion. Like when I would play outside in the Oregon cold with my younger cousin Joy. A motherly voice would call for one of us. Joey, where are you? ---or, Joy, where are you? Us knowing the answer to both questions, but unsure who should speak, what to do. It tricks my brain, not me, I am convinced we are not the same thing. Good morning Linda! Or rather goodnight, being that I have yet to sleep. Lol. Very glad you liked it. I will definitely post my poems with audio more often. I hope you do the same. =) Ok, off to bed for me. |

What an magical way to 'meet' a poet! Listening to the tenor of your voice reading your own thoughts caught me smiling ...my brain catching up with my enchantment after the last word. LOL You're right, you do not stutter! Wonderful delivery, Joe. It's been a long time since I've had the pleasure of going to a poetry reading, and it was a delight that this one came to me! ~ KL |
