Goodbye, pretty lady
With flowers in your hair
I'm sure you pay me little mind
For I was never there

Farewell, pretty lady
May these days be your best
Though I wish I knew you more
It's alright nonetheless

So long, pretty lady
When I think of you, I'm glad
To me, you are the sister
That I've never, ever had

Good luck, pretty lady
You know your path shines true
But if you would ever call on me
I'm always there for you

Se La Vie, my darling!
You have all my respect
Just know that someone loves you
Whom you did not expect

There are many great people in the world, but real people are one in a million.

Joseph! This is an excellent write. Seems sad to let go but sometimes...  Peace.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane,
I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

I had a man say about the same thing to me recently, excluding the "sister" part

but you write it so much more beautifully

Isn't it funny how we go through life,
thinking that we're invisible..

this is lovely...and I almost heard it
as a song.

Good job, Joseph!

It's great to finally see your handsome, smiling face!

Your poem was both sad and sweet ~ and very touching.
