That's What Friends are Fore |

That’s What Friends are For They say you can’t pick your relations But a wide choice to you extends, Though there be folk from many nations You are free to pick your friends. Some times when you are feeling down And really saddened to the core, A friend will ease away the frown, Well that’s what friends are for. To lose a loved one in some accident Is a tragic wound beyond belief, But good friends are never hesitant To help you share your tragic grief. Sharing troubles make you wise, You have a lesser cross to bear, When you can open up your eyes And see a good friend standing there. You might be lying sick in bed And with your misfortune reconcile, When your day is brightened up instead By a friend’s quick happy smile. Strong friendships like a hidden chain That binds good friends together, Never look on mateship with disdain For true friends are friends forever So if relatives are few and far between And lonely feelings you can’t ignore Then call on a friend to intervene For that’s what friends are for. |
