“Where have you been my lovely maiden While over the world I traveled? You’ve been the mist upon my breath; Tell me, what stories have you to unravel?” A gurgle of laughter and smidgeon of smile Her fan now upon her lips, “I don’t trust you, understand,” As she began to relax her hips. “Where have you been my lovely maiden when waves were cast over hull? You’ve been the dream that kept me dry, the angel I kept on call.” A flush of cheek and warming of eye, her fan spread open wide, “With you, My Pirate, who stows my heart; From through the clouds I spied. Held in lap my silken thread, The needle of distant dreams; With each stitch I sewed sail to you Praying no weather extremes. I’ve ripped the stitches a hundred times While lightning whipped the sea, Of fear, My Thief, I’ll never wear The rarest silks you brought to me.” [This message has been edited by miscellanea (11-01-2007 06:57 AM).] |

Ohhh, how delightfully romantic, dear Misc ...I remember "The Brussel's Lace Fan". I imagine this pirate to be as charming as Johnny Depp in "Pirates" ... Love, Margherita ![]() |

Margherita, I loved that movie, but her pirate is only a merchant sailor, the pirate of her heart. Johnny Depp would be really cool, though! He cracks me up in that movie. Glad you enjoyed! Great to see you again! hugs, misce' I'm glad you liked it and flattered that you remember The Brussel's Lace Fan |

ah misc' I told you I needed more and you said you would mess it up and now look and these lines catch me up “A flush of cheek and warming of eye, her fan spread open wide, “With you, My Pirate, who stows my heart; From through the clouds I spied.” |

One of your best yet, MisC! Very romantic and yet, a little bitter sweet there at the end. ![]() |

To mirror and image back to you your own sister... bittersweet is such the word for live, overall. It cannot be all of one, and not the other... so we learn to sweeten or temper our tea and lemonade... ![]() ![]() I remembered, and when I looked back, was so very, very glad to see, dearheart, that you did not let the imagery settle to the depths of forget. ![]() |
