.

I have felt nothing
For more years
Than you can imagine

For me
Love and hate are
Less than anything
Since I am merely being

Your concerns
Are no longer mine
My life undulates
With the tides

Although
Should you press me
All that very hard

I'd rather be
Simply dead

As long as there is music, a beat, or sound of something like a song, I would never rather be simply dead.  Even lives blue is better than dead quiet.  Hope things get better for you.

Your unique poetry can only be written by you, John. I couldn't enjoy it if you were "simply dead" and who would I spar around with on occasion?

Great poem. I confess. Until this moment, I've never really felt anything about a clam, but now I'm mad and very sad for the poor thing.
