A struggle, it's all a struggle, always a struggle A struggle to bear the treatment afflicted by others A struggle to not give them the right to treat you that way A struggle to pretend you're happy amidst circumstances surrounding you For you have no right to NOT be happy A struggle to fight for that right A struggle to be happy You'd think it easier to not fight at all To not resist, to wallow in sadness without fighting back But then it's a struggle to live that way For it feels like being bonded in chains You convince yourself that you can struggle no more That you've accepted your state You can live with it But you can't for no one wants to be bonded so you struggle to break free You struggle to be happy You struggle... |

I wrote this while conversing with my friends, one of 'em said something and that's when I suddenly came to the realisation that nothing's as simple as they say.. Its probably not what many people feel, it's just how i feel.. |

Welcome Estella to Pip! I agree with what you have powerfully conveyed in your first post here. Life is a continuous struggle, even though we know that we could flow with the events and struggle less, we often forget acquired wisdom, because of life's constant challenges. So we struggle on. Yet the secret is to remain calm deep within, there is that place at our deepest core where there is a placid lake and total serenity... but the more we struggle the farther away we are pushed from our center. I agree that life can be a struggle, still I believe that every relationship has a purpose, and we can make choices that will provide more happiness and less of a struggle...James |
