Impromptu

In a perfect world
we would be together
me and my sweetheart
within the arms of
sweet love forever.
But what if she
chose not to be with me
in a perfect world.
A perfect world would
become an imperfect world
and how could my heart
survive in such
a cold place,
a world where
love was unwanted
and my heart felt
out of place.

Dear James, I just got a CD from a dear musician friend and was listening with great pleasure also to some "Impromptus", played on the piano by him.

Your words resound beautifully to the soft melancholy of the music.

Thank you for the nice response Margherita...I sent a copy of a classical CD I bought at Walmart to my honey and kept a copy for myself...its called "Piano Classics" and its great...
I felt the inspiration for this poem, which is exploring both sides of love, while listening to Impromptu Op 90 No. 3 by Schubert and while listening to Nocturne OP 9 No 1 by Chopin I could feel it also...James

Hello James,

I liked this as it is complex ( when we think of love ) without the complexity of structure. Great piece!
