. This day is mine October Beautiful Not his hers Theirs . . . Mine The gold leaves Flow over the steep hills Down to a crystal stream Water mirrors the trees The clear blue sky A small brown sparrow Flying by The sunlight glows In the afternoon Flickers dances Waltzes with the breeze I don’t care What the world Might have to say With all its Endless casuistry This day Is mine Because I’m free And earned it . |

Another fine ‘write’! I am particularly fond of: that ‘flicker danc(ing)’ and ‘breeze waltz(ing)’ sunlight! AND: “I don’t care What the world Might have to say With all its Endless casuistry” (especially the use of ‘casuistry’) Once again, serious applause!! |
