Dowd ~ I climbed moonlit hill to the summit, Rising up from a midnight sea, When a whirling wind, came wailing in, ~ Breathing life into the soul of me. With my arms extending skyward, I reached for the glowing moon. And was lost in that timeless moment, ~ Reeling in rapturous swoon. While swaying to haunting, pipe music, Into the wind, his name, I did call. I yearned to be filled with his starlight, Or to the depths my spirit would fall. Lost memories of my long-ago lover, Rolled in with the waves of the sea. I longed for his return to my side, ~ For he was my reason to be. Transfixed, I stood in the moonlight, As my essence ebbed out with the tide. I stood sad and alone on the precipice, Without a vestige left of my pride. Dispirited, lost, and forgotten, Oh, how my lone heart did grieve, When I was caressed by a touch ~ so familiar, On my quivering, buckskin sleeve. Spirit lips softly covered my mouth, Breathing life into the soul of me. Enveloped in a warm blanket of love, ~ My broken heart was finally set free. I reached my arms up to the heavens, I was Mother Moon ~ and I was aglow, For I had been shot with starlight, From my spirit lover's bow. I climbed moonlit hill to the summit, Rising up from a midnight sea, When a whirling wind, came wailing in, ~ Breathing life into the soul of me. Lindsay ~ I am pleased that you enjoyed it. I am curious, ~ were you able to hear the audio? I believe that those who have dial-up instead of cable, have a very long wait to download the audio. There are some who do not have an audio card. Love to you, Aussie Man! Linda |

Linda, There really is nothing left to say, when are you bringing out your audio album! Three things make good poetry: Readability, whatever the style A strong and capturing story And finally leaving the reader to bathe in the meanings and their own feelings and interpretation.
